Be able to identify Child Abuse and Maltreatment when engaging with a child in your practice

Be able to confidently determine if a Mandated Report is necessary when engaging with children in your practice, that you suspect have been abused or maltreated

About the Speaker: My name is Melanie Licatese, I am a Psychology Professor at the Statet University of New York at Oswego. Prior to my employment with the University, I spent 6 years working as a Licensed Clinical Therapist primaarily providing direct therapeutic services to children and adolecents in a school setting. My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Human Development, from the State University of New York at Geneseo. I then obtained my Master's Degree in Social work as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Childhood Trauma, from Syracuse University. I have been practicing as a Licensed Master of Social Work since October 2018.
